Rhod Gilbert ‘pinching himself’ as he shares cancer update
Rhod Gilbert says he still “pinches himself” as he is back on stage performing stand-up comedy two years after he was diagnosed with cancer.
The 55-year-old was diagnosed with head and neck cancer in July 2022 after he noticed symptoms during a fundraising trek.
After undergoing treatment, the comedian was given the all-clear in October last year.
Giving an update on his health when he appeared on BBC’s The One Show on Monday (29 April), Gilbert said: “I'm here, I'm good and every night, I'm on stage pinching myself that I'm doing this. That I'm on stage performing just now two years after being diagnosed.”
